Is it worth it?

When most people think of faith, they think of religion. The dictionary defines faith as "a belief not based on proof". Pretty much it means that when we have faith in something, whether it be in a religion, a friendship, a cause or an engagment, we have confidence in it and will remain loyal to it. But why do we have faith? How can we be expected to put forth our trust in something without legitimate proof that the sacrifices that we make for it will be worth it?

Having faith in something is a risk we take. If it works out, it can be amazing. Especially if you have faith in a relationship and everything works out. It's the best feeling. But for every good thing that happens, a bad thing happens. What if things don't work out the way you want them too? Truth is, the results can be catastrophic. But it's in our nature to want the best and sometimes it's worth the risk. So what sacrifices have you all made for something you believe in.

Tell me about your faith. And answer this question...

Is it worth it?
